Professional Title: Associate Professor, Dance & Musical Theatre
Rebecca Katz Harwood's eclectic career includes work as a performer, choreographer, teacher, researcher, and arts administrator. She received her undergraduate degree in Religious Studies and Anthropology from Macalester College, and her MFA in Dance from New York University's Tisch School of Arts.
Her work has taken her around the Midwest, to both coasts of the US, and to Germany, England, France, Hungary, and Bulgaria. Since 2006, she has been based back in her native Duluth. She also choreographs and directs both concert works and musical theatre for the university, as well as locally and nationally.
